MTNL is a Navratna PSU and is borne on the select list of the CVC. Its vigilance organisation is headed by a full time Chief Vigilance Officer posted in the MTNL Corporate Office at New Delhi. The Chief Vigilance Officer in MTNL is appointed on deputation under the central staffing scheme after prior consultation with the Central Vigilance Commission. The CVO/MTNL is assisted by GM (Vig)/Delhi and GM (Vig)/Mumbai in respect of the vigilance work relating to MTNL Delhi and Mumbai respectively. Vigilance officers have also been posted with the vigilance headquarters of Mumbai & Delhi grouped in task-oriented teams.
